08 July, 2014 – With deep regret and sorrow, Israel Shipyards Ltd. announces the passing away of Mr. Shlomo Shmeltzer, a major shareholder of the company, a member of its Board of Directors and one of the leaders of the Israeli business community.

His leadership, support and commitment to Israel Shipyards have always inspired us and those who had the opportunity to know him.
In this time of grief, we express our sincere condolences to his family.

January, 2014 – Israel Shipyards has successfully completed the fabrication and supply of Natural Gas pipe spools for PRMS in SUGAT.

With this valuable gas conversion project that was managed and executed by AFCON ARG, Israel Shipyards will keep expanding its activities of high pressure gas pipelines fabrication.
 
Wednesday, November 7th, 2012 – Thermal Desalination facility is on its way to foreign industrial end- user. The facility has been manufactured by Israel Shipyards based on I.D.E design, utilizing Mechanical Vapor Compression technology.
 
Tuesday, September 4th, 2012 – Two new SHALDAG MK II Fast Patrol Craft are on the way to an African customer for delivery to the local Navy.

The Fast Patrol Craft were designed and built at Israel Shipyards Ltd. as part of the wide SHALDAG family that is serving Naval and Law Enforcement forces around the world.

Operational experience gained from several Navies was implemented in the construction of these new SHALDAG MK II vessels.
 
On the 21st of August 2012, Israel Shipyards Ltd. launched another commercial vessel, the 5th built within the recent years.
The ceremony took place at Israel Shipyards, and the owners of the ship were present together with guests from various companies, suppliers and customers. The general cargo ship, with a capacity of 4800 tons, is a modern and efficient vessel that will bring the owners a high value for their investment
 
Israel Shipyards Ltd. and its Naval and Commercial vessels were chosen by the leading professional magazine
"INSIDE MARINE" to be the subject of a comprehensive report and interview in August 2012 edition.

Cape Town (South Africa), 27-28th October 2011 - Israel Shipyards Ltd. hold a booth at the M.C.S.A. (Maritime & Coastal Security Africa 2011). Among the many visitors that came to the booth for hearing in depth presentations of the different OPV types, the SHALDAG Fast Patrol Craft and options of Floating Docks, were high Naval officers and official delegations from all over Africa.

One of the well known guests was Vice Admiral Ola Sa'ad Ibrahim the Chief of Naval Staff of the Nigerian Navy that was pleased to see the variety of products presented by Israel Shipyards.
 
Israel Shipyards Ltd. and its SHALDAG FAST PATROL CRAFT were chosen by the world leader Naval professional magazine "NAVAL FORCES" to be the subject of a comprehensive report and interview in August 2011 edition.

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011 – In an official Naval ceremony held at Israel Shipyards Ltd., the two new 62m OPV were delivered to the Navy of Equatorial Guinea. At the Ceremony, among the speakers, were Mr. Matan Vilnai – Minister at the Israeli Defense and Admiral Eya Olomo – Vice-Minister of National Defense Equatorial Guinea. At the end of the ceremony the two Offshore Patrol vessels sailed out of the harbor, accompanied with cheers from all the guests.
 
Wednesday, December 15th 2010 – The crew of the two new 62m OPV that are already staying at Israel Shipyards Ltd. for intensive operational and maintenance training, had a visit of a Ministerial delegation from Guinea Equatorial.

The delegation included Admiral Vicente Eya Olomo – Vice-Minister of National Defence, Admiral Roberto Ndong – General Manager (Secretario General) of Ministry of National Defence and Admiral Joaquin Ndong Nve – Naval Chief of staff. They have inspected the Offshore Patrol Vessel that will shortly be delivered to Guinea Equatorial Navy.

During the visit, the launching ceremony of the second OPV was held, and the two vessels are now being prepared for the delivery to the customer.

Among the many visitors that came to the booth for hearing in depth presentations of the SHALDAG Fast Patrol Craft and the OPV types, were high Naval officers and official delegations from all over Latin America.

One of the well known guests was Admiral Edmundo Gonzalez the Commander in Chief of the Chilean Navy that was pleased to see the variety of products presented by Israel Shipyards.
 
Thursday, November 4th, 2010 – The third SHALDAG MK IV Fast Patrol Craft is on its way to Romania for delivery to the Romanian Border Police.

The Fast Patrol Craft was loaded on the MV Blue Tune on her maiden voyage after being delivered to the German Owner.

Both vessels were designed and built at Israel Shipyards Ltd.
 
Monday, 1st November 2010 – Israel Shipyards Ltd hosted the Latin American Military and Naval Attaches of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.

The guests had a presentation of the Shipyard capabilities and vessels, and also sailed on board of the SHALDAG MK IV for first hand demonstration of the Fast Patrol Craft at sea.
 
Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan visited the SHALDAG MKII Fast Patrol Craft, which is servicing the Nigerian Navy and joined a Navy exercise as a part of the Nigerian Independence day and the Nigerian Army day on the 29th September 2010.

The SHALDAG MK II was delivered to the Nigerian Navy by Israel Shipyards Ltd in June 2009 and is constantly active since then.
 
On the 6th of September 2010, in an official ceremony, 40 Shaldags crew members have graduated the ISTC (Israel Shipyards Training Center) after a 5 weeks intensive course for operating and maintaining the three SHALDAG MK IVs constructed for the Romanian Border Police.
The crew members will serve on board of the Fast Patrol Craft in the Black Sea with tasks of law enforcement, fighting illegal immigration and smuggling, supporting the Romanian authorities in efforts to keep the peace along their coastline.

 
ATHENS, Aug 17, 2010 - Israeli and Greek leaders discussed expanding military ties including sharing military know-how and holding joint war games.

In a symbolic gesture, Prime Minister Papandreou hosted Mr. Netanyahu on a trip to an island off the Athens coast on Tuesday, setting sail on a missile boat - one out of three Israel Shipyards Ltd. sold to Greece six years ago.


 
On the 16th of August 2010, Israel Shipyards Ltd. will launch the first two of three SHALDAG MK IVs constructed for the Romanian Border Police.
The three Shaldag Fast Patrol Craft will serve in the Black Sea with tasks of law enforcement, fighting illegal immigration and smuggling; also supporting the Romanian authorities in efforts to keep the peace along their coastline.
The SHALDAG FPCs are well-known for their high speed (above 40 knots) and excellent maneuverability
 
On the 11th of May 2010, Israel Shipyards Ltd. launched another commercial vessel, the 4th built within the last 20 months.
The ceremony took place at Israel Shipyards, and the German owners of the ship were present together with guests from various companies, suppliers and customers. The general cargo ship, with a capacity of 4800 tons, is a modern and efficient vessel that will bring the owners a high value for their investment.
 
Israel Shipyards Ltd. was recently certified by GL for the manufacture of steel structures, piping, welding procedures and welders. In the same time period, Israel Shipyards Ltd. was certified by TUV for the manufacture of gas piping, welding procedures and welders.
These certifications reinforce ISL's leading position as a modern shipbuilder.
 
Israel Shipyards Ltd. received Certificate 430, issued by the Israel Standards Institute, for the construction of carbon-steel pressure vessels. The certification, issued on 01/01/2010, is another step forward in verifying the highest standards maintained by ISL as a world leader in ship construction and maintenance.
